The aim of the course introduce students with two most important institutes of social and individual life marriage and family, their situation in contemporary society, discuss their social and historical development, links with other social institutes and present challenges for marriage and family. The course will focus on family types, functions, tendencies of development, demographic, sociological, family-influencing cultural factors. Moreover, links between family and gender will be analyzed, as the factor, contributing to the development of sexual identity; marriage and sexuality. A part of the course will center around stages of the internal dynamics of family and marriage, development of mutual relationship between spouses, their source of influence cultural and sociological factors. Besides, family crises and their factors will be analyzed. |
